Apple Delight

The Apple online store is split into product ranges; Mac, iphones, downloads, ipod and itunes,. Once you are in the individual sections you can find out more about each product and also compare each, side by side, to determine the best one for you.

The site contains lots of information on the individual features and technical make-up of products, proving itself as a very helpful resource for those unsure exactly what to purchase.

Navigation is simple and painless – a job well done.

Why is it different to other stores online? We graded on originality, design, backgrounds, colors, style and innovation..

What we liked about Apple’s virtual shop is that it caters well for both hi-tech gadget fiends as well as those who may be more technically challenged. Apple have done

well to anticipate many of the questions their customers will want answering and provide a no-nonsense, easy to use site that provides a wealth of information. The site is colorful, beautifully photographed and a multitude of detailed and helpful information is presented in a very clear fashion. It has some nice touches like personalized engraving for iPods.

What’s more, they also have an online service assistant to help out with questions about warranties and repair options

The check out follows a logical order and offers all the little extras, like gift messages and engraving as part of the process.

Apple belongs to the TRUSTe Privacy Program and encrypts all personal details submitted.

Does this site offer information on stores? How easy is it to find the different branches of the stores?.

Although their website is extremely informative, Apple still recommend branch visits for a proper exploration of products.  Their stores offer 1-1 training for Mac owners and also have a ‘genius bar’ for technical questions as well as a free personal shopping service to get some support in your selection of products.

Stores can be searched by zip code and the site provides a list of your five closest stores.  These can be clicked upon for a handy store photo plus details such as directions and opening hours.

Can you trust the secure payment? How easy is it to pay your bills online? Which cards or methods are accepted? Let us tell you the pros and cons of each system..
Amex, Discover, MasterCard, Visa, plus a range of smaller credit cards, money orders, checks, wire transfers, gift cards… Apple have many payment methods, the main omission seems to be PayPal.
