Victoria’s Secret operate hugely successful outlets so we decided to verify if their virtual store reflected the quality on offer at their branches.

How easy is it to navigate around the site? We tried and tested it out and graded. .
Secret Flop

Victoria’s Secret online shopping site has a navigation system that sorts their range into clothing, beauty products and sale items.

You can then use a wide range of filters to sort by style, size, collection and many other categories.

Why is it different to other stores online? We graded on originality, design, backgrounds, colors, style and innovation..

There are some nice touches like the enlarging of material swatches to see the detail of fabrics and the fact that you can check the stock situation for individual styles in particular sizes and colors before going through to the check out.

The site contains glossy photos, clear sizing guides and handy features that allow you to see photos of both front and back views as well as the different color choices available.

However, Victoria’s Secret also had a few annoying features, such as the adverts that popped up at the checkout, literally covering the screen until you clicked off.

Also although the sheer number of color, size, material and style options gives customers lots of choice it does get a little confusing going through this process online.

Overall a solid site but in need of further improvement.

How easy is it to locate and use the online shopping cart? We check out the check out..

This site has a standard shopping cart and has built in SSL security.  However their privacy policy is set up in such a way that your contact and purchasing history is automatically shared with other marketers and affiliate partners unless you opt out.

Other sites ask whether you are willing to share this information rather than assuming consent.  This left a bad taste in our mouths.

What do you get for your money? How competitive are the prices, what can you get for your money and are there special deals for online customers?.
Victoria’s Secret pride themselves on classy products.  You can purchase similar items at more affordable prices but considering their quality, style and brand recognition, these items are desired by many.

Does this site offer information on stores? How easy is it to find the different branches of the stores?.
You can search by zip code or input the province and town manually to find out store addresses and contact numbers.  More info, such as opening hours, directions, a map etc. would have been nice.  Just the basics.
