Levis have been going strong since 1853 – there aren’t many companies that have been trading for that length of time and have retained the level of popularity that Levi’s enjoy today.  But can they transfer the magic touch to their online site?

How easy is it to navigate around the site? We tried and tested it out and graded. .

The home page is one massive advert and lacks information on the site, requiring you to click into categories to view the product range.

The store is split into men, women and kids before splitting into sub categories.  Each category has style filters to help you find just what you need.   However, the final pages were sometimes slow to load, although they did contain useful information when they finally came up.

Another annoyance was the fact that the sizing listed in the menus did not seem to tally with their size chart at first and took a bit of figuring out.

The landing page for each category had a comprehensive left hand menu full of product choices.  The images displayed were overly large and did not reflect the full range available.

Overall, the site functioned but missed a trick or two.

Why is it different to other stores online? We graded on originality, design, backgrounds, colors, style and innovation..

Levi’s online store tries to wow, with the ability to enlarge product photos as well as select different views.  However, the feature was overly sensitive and did annoy us after a while as we accidentally set it off whilst viewing other information.

The filter system is good in that you can search under headings such as color and waist or leg style, easing your search.

Overall some quite nice site features but by no means up with the big boys.

How easy is it to locate and use the online shopping cart? We check out the check out..
The shopping cart is simple to use and offers extras such as gift wrap.   Shipping is automatically factored in the process is easy to follow.  The site is SSL secured and private details are not shared with others without your specific consent.
Value for Money: 4/10

What do you get for your money? How competitive are the prices, what can you get for your money and are there special deals for online customers?.
The site has its fair share of bargains with lots of offers available.  The full price jeans are quite pricey when compared to stores like Walmart though, but then Levi’s clientele would likely be far too cool to shop there and, as much as anything, will be after the Levi label!

Bearing in mind Levi’s want to continually align themselves to up and coming generations, their foray into Facebook and Twitter has got to be worthwhile.

Does this site offer information on stores? How easy is it to find the different branches of the stores?.
The store locator was one of the pages that did not load during our visit.  If we were a real customer we would have probably checked out a competitor.
